You’re invited to run from routine and head for Metung. Be part of the World’s Longest Lunch Metung on the Village Green, explore and indulge alone or wander along with a friend or two. The World’s Longest Lunch (WLL) will be held in Metung on the 12th. March 2010. In association with the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, the WLL aims to showcase East Gippsland food and wine product strengths and encourage and reinforce food and wine tourism to Eastern Victoria by showcasing the regional culinary strengths. The Village Green will come alive with shared conviviality at Metung’s third World’s Longest Lunch. Seated in this unique outdoor setting at one long continuous table, you will be treated to culinary delights prepared by local chefs and the staff & students of the East Gippsland TAFE. Utilizing the best of Gippsland produce, this three course luncheon will be complemented by some of the finest Gippsland wines . Lunch will commence with a glass of sparkling wine together with a little light music. During lunch our roving musical entertainment will delight you. To round off the lunch, there will be a very lively musical finale.
